This 46 acre development in the city of Afton, WY consists of 100+ multifamily and single family lots from 15,000 sqft to 22,000 sqft. Under current zoning this would allow over 200 units. The zoning is a combination of R-1 single family, R-2 duplexes and R-3 four & eight-plexes. The developers are in the investigation phase with the city to change some of the zoning from R-2 to R3 to allow additional units.

The subdivision is located on both sides of Center Street just off Hwy-89 heading east. There is a traffic roundabout approved for entry into the neighborhood to help keep vehicle speed down. Broulim's Market is directly adjacent to the west. Afton Elementary School is adjacent to the south east, and a city park is within walking distance immediately east of the elementary school. This subdivision is ideally located for families and retirees that wish to be close to city amenities and yet have a safe and quiet neighborhood.

SUBDIVISION DETAILS

There is seasonal irrigation water and large cottonwood trees that meander through the eastern portion of the development, which will enhance the single family homes that will back on to the stream.

 

The initial excavation and the main connections to water, sewer and gas lines have been made for the subdivision. Lines will need to be extended into additional streets as subdivision phases are constructed.

 

Phase 1 consisting of 10 lots of the subdivision has been approved for construction and excavation for utilities is near completion - with electricity lines and road construction are underway. Developer will begin construction on several fourplexes Fall of 2024.
